A major incident was declared in Essex on Friday after a large fire at an industrial unit caused an explosion, according to BBC News.
More than 100 firefighters were deployed to the scene as emergency crews worked to bring the fire under control. Footage shared on social media showed the explosion shaking the nearby area, with people seen moving away from the flames.
Essex fire service urged the public to avoid the area and advised nearby residents to keep doors and windows shut.
In an update on Friday evening, the brigade said the fire had been brought under control and that there was no broader danger to the public.
