BrewDog workers owed unpaid wages and holiday pay will receive nothing following a takeover deal, according to administrators handling the company’s affairs.
About £489,000 is owed to staff, covering wages and holiday pay. The administrators said there are no funds available to repay those outstanding amounts after the takeover was completed.
The company also owes HM Revenue and Customs £2.4 million in unpaid VAT. The tax debt is substantially larger than the amount owed to employees.
The available information does not provide further details about the takeover, the identity of the acquiring party or the number of workers affected. The latest position is that unpaid staff will not recover the wages and holiday pay they are owed.
